why is google a barcode today?

anyone know?

turns out today is the 57th anniversary of the barcode patent. thanks, google, for making a huge fucking deal about an alarmingly obscure subject.

    did you know that whenever google has a fAnCy logo you can hover your mouse over it and it tells you what's up.
