funding for the copenhagen opera house, designed by jean nouvel, was donated by maersk, a danish shipping giant (biggest in the world, aamof). it later served as inspiration was straight-up copied for the nyc 2012 olympic stadium design (specifically the roof, obvi) by me and gabe back in architecture school. you're welcome!
