tim burton's superman costume

in general i would characterize myself as a great fan of tim burton's work. his dark, creepy, gothic touch made for an awesome couple of batmans, some awesome johnny depp movies, and a really cool pee wee joint. that being said, there have also been some lapses in judgement, and these pics from his ill fated superman project in the 90s definitely belong in the latter group. follow the link above and listen to the kevin smith youtube. makes for an interesting backstage hollywood story.

it looks like it might be as good as his willy wonka. i hope for far better.

alice in wonderland - tim burton style

disney has released a couple of images from the upcoming tim burton directed alice in wonderland. thats johnny depp as the mad hatter, helena bonham carter as the red queen, and anne hathaway (yip yip) as the white queen.

obviously, its going to be a little darker than the already pretty dark animated movie from the past (jabberwocky anyone?). its also concieved as sort of a sequel, telling the story of alice's second coming to wonderland.

so excited.
