Following (very) closely on the heels of last week's surprise All Delighted People EP comes news of a brand new Sufjan Stevens full-length. The Age of Adz will be released by Asthmatic Kitty on October 12. ("Adz" is pronounced "odds," a press release tells us.) (via)

i got an email about sufjan's new EP. listen free or buy here. i'm only in the first song, but i'm enjoying it. they also sent a link for this album that is free to download. i haven't listened yet, but they're on snuffle's label.

UPDATE:

i really enjoyed snuffles. the other one is one good song remixed 4 times, which gets a little repetitive, but I enjoyed it at least once.

here's something i witnessed wednesday night. forgot to tell you, but it was 11 biscuits oc obvi.

he played three new songs....and i liked all of them. they each showed a sufficient amount of growth since the last we heard from him, and i think they offer proof that snuffles is still relevent. i've read that he's not currently interested in making music for other people...but i sure hope we get a new album soon.

remember when sufjan stevens did that BQE performance at the brookly academy of music? you should. do you remember wishing you could have a copy of those songs to listen to at your leisure? or a copy of that film so you could watch it from a better angle? well, on october 20th, you can! stevens will release a multi-media package including a two-disc album, and DVD along with a book and stereoscopic image reel. but wait! there'e more! 92Y Tribeca will host a release party for the BQE on october 24th. tickets went on sale yesterday. i wonder if any are left.
