if it wasnt serious before...

now you better believe that opry mills mall is fucked. there was this aquarium restaurant and tourist trap in the mall, and when the flood waters came in, the fishys all swam out. the salt water fish died :( but the piranhas are totally pwning that place. thats right, the opry mills mall is infested with piranhas.

ADAM PETERSON!!!!!

oh haiye.

pitchfork profiled lil' ol' knoxville's big ears festival:

Instead of putting the headliners in the Bijou, the biggest bands played the Tennessee Theatre, a Faberge egg of a place, with gilded walls and a ceiling that suggests staring into the heavens. In the end, all of these combinations and shifts made for an incredibly progressive yet accessible festival. In comfortable, affable Knoxville, far removed from the prior week's hustle and bustle of South by Southwest, Big Ears again felt like a long weekend of paradise-- and again a still must-attend, if very different than before, music festival. my mom just sent me this link to a dude's pictures of the flurded opryland hotel. the opryland is the glittering jewel in nashville's tourism crown, and now they're saying they're just hoping to re-open by christmas. i hope so too, because you should see what they do with that place for christmas time.

get well soon, opryland hotel!

i sure hope someone's taking advantage of this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

james franco : gay?

at the tribeca film festival his publicist told him to shut up when someone asked him a leading question about his sexuality in regards to a make out scene he has with will forte.

this means he is gay or has a savvy publicist.

thoughts? via.

If you dont have an opinion on the repeal of Don't Ask Don't Tell, read this and then this. These stories should help you to agree with me.

whoa, madonna looks great

Of course I love Madonna. as she has aged, she has remained incredibly fit, and has clearly had some work done. Her recent look can sometimes come off as a little hard and sinewy, but I had to show you this photo set shot by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott for Interview magazine, because she looks amazing. via.

dont forget to watch glee tonight
