Don't feel bad, Spirit...
You are just a dumb bird. Apparently 90,000 birds die every year crashing into windows in NYC alone.
Those are dead birds in that bag, btw...

did you miss obama last night?
The centerpiece of the bill, known as the American Jobs Act, is an extension and expansion of the cut in payroll taxes, worth $240 billion, under which the tax paid by employees would be cut in half through 2012. Smaller businesses would also get a cut in their payroll taxes, as well as a tax holiday for hiring new employees. The plan also provides $140 billion for modernizing schools and repairing roads and bridges — spending that Mr. Obama portrayed as critical to maintaining America’s competitiveness. (via)

Workers who suffered a spell of unemployment during Great Recession are, on average, less satisfied with their new jobs than workers who didn't. They are more likely to consider themselves over-qualified for their current position. (via)

This is what the future holds
So i gave a hint a week or two ago, but I officially accepted a job for next fall in Virginia. I did some goog searches this morning to give a sense of the environment you will all be coming to visit.
Here is a map that displays the nearest bars to my new home.
Currently, I live in an Armenian neighborhood near Boston. I eat a LOT of falafel. Here is a map that displays the nearest Mediterranean food.

on the other hand, here are the closest gun

coooooornhole: beanbag edition.
Inspired by the warmth a few weeks ago, A-ron and I built cornhole boards.
First, we sanded and stained

Then, we printed out images and traced them with carbon paper.

Then we painted two of the most beautiful college logos of all time and laquered the boards to seal the images. The result, two gorgeous cornhole playing surfaces, and hours of fun.
