i was just catching up on my this american life, and heard this story about a cop in a bed-stuy precinct of the NYPD mounting a case to expose some minor corruption involving illegal quota systems and whatnot. it gets real real.

i think i read about this on tv in the wire. its called juking that numbers.
they do mention in the story that the wire covered this topic. crimestat, who NEEDS it!
