in preseason polls, the basketvols were picked to finish 11th in the SEC. they end the regular season as the number 2 seed in the SEC tournament, behind only the number one team in the nation, the KY jellycats. let's all raise a big middle finger to the haters.

the vols beat uconn today thanks to the next greatest basketball player ever, mr. jarnell stokes. he is the 11th ranked player nationally in the 2012 recruiting class. he graduated from southwind high school in december (but played his bball at memphis central) and played his first game for the basketvols last week. he had his first start today, and he is good. way to get him, cuonzo.

jicydak, the Volunteers routed the montana griz yesterday after a long weather delay. i watched it a bar in new haven called black bear saloon. it would be a great tennessee bar if it were in new york city. for those that didn't see the georgia game, your eyes should thank you. i was debating with sugardust/starla/char about whether the game or the uniforms were uglier.

hamilton, out. i'm not convinced this will solve all of our recent woes, but he has been the one constant in our current lackluster and troubled athletic era. here's to the vols and all of our championships we're gonna get over the next hundred years. which is about 100 championships in every sport.
