mexican design firm envision's trump's wall

because the wall has to be beautiful, the design references luis barragán’s pink walls that are emblematic of mexico. it also takes advantage of the tradition in architecture of megalomaniac wall building. moreover, the wall is not only a wall—as you can see in the hill landscape cross-section it is a prison where 11 million undocumented people will be processed, classified, indoctrinated, and/or deported. invisible cities, illustrated.

Lima-based architect Karina Puente has a personal project: to illustrate each and every "invisible" city from Italo Calvino's 1972 novel. The book, which imagines imaginary conversations between the (real-life) Venetian explorer Marco Polo and the aged Mongol ruler Kublai Khan has been instrumental in framing approaches to urban discourse and the form of the city.
