as y'all probz heard, the ncaa gave the volunteers a list of wrongdoings yesterday. there aren't really any new allegations, and bruce has already been punished by the school and the sec. chances are the ncaa won't get us too bad since the penalties are already more than what jim calhoun just got at uconn. we might lose a scholarship, but ho needs it when you get both pat and bruce's sons as walk ons? i think, like pat forde thinks, that mike hamilton should be held accountable in this. i'm pretty sure bruce will only be leaving on his own accord though. and lane kiffin is a douchebag. we also learned that georgia is still envious of the vols and will always be inferior.

my fave is 'suspicious person at money wall'. i think this is a great opportunity to introduce you all to the UT phenomenon known as the money wall:

i always felt like i was gonna get hardcore mugged there. this is the best photo the internet had to offer. as you can barely see...the money wall was a subterranean line of 10-12 ATMs built into the cavernous ground level of a parking garage. at night, it was poorly lit and almost always abandoned. you had to walk up to the wall with your back to your surroundings and withdraw enough money to get you through a night at cool beans (roughly $20).

bruce is staying!

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- Tennessee coach Bruce Pearl has a newly renegotiated six-year contract keeping him with the Volunteers. It came hours after reports surfaced that Memphis wanted to talk to Pearl about replacing John Calipari, who left for Kentucky.

Interim president Jan Simek and athletic director Mike Hamilton announced Thursday night that they and Pearl had agreed in principle to the new deal. Details will be released within the next few days.

Pearl said in a statement that Hamilton has been supportive and committed to making Tennessee one of college basketball's best jobs.

"I want to ensure the University of Tennessee and its fans that I'm 100 percent committed to this school, this program and our student-athletes," Pearl said. (espn)
