face!
Television images showed bodyguards helping a stunned and bloodied prime minister into a car after the attack, which came as he greeted supporters after delivering a rousing speech to a rally of his center-right People of Liberties Party in central Milan.
The police detained a Milan resident identified as Massimo Tartaglia, 42, who has a history of mental illness, Italian news media reported. A prosecutor was questioning Mr. Tartaglia and a formal arrest was expected. (via)

plucky the beagle

his name is actually buddy (how original) and he is from new jersey (holds nose). his story will just warm your cold heart right up.
Buddy, a 4-year-old beagle, was reunited with his New Jersey family on Monday after 98 days spent on unihabited Gull Island in New Jersey's Manasquan Inlet. The Kelleys, of Eatontown, N.J., lost control of Buddy on Aug. 31 as the family attempted to switch the dog's leash while frolicking on Dog Beach in Manasquan. Two months later, Buddy — who had lost so much weight he was little more than skin and bones — was spotted along railroad tracks near the deserted island."The Coast Guard said they had seen him digging in the sand," Edith Kelley told FoxNews.com. "He might've been looking for clams or sand crabs."

i swear. to god. there is not one sane person in south carolina

on december 8th, henry e. brown, jr. a house member from south carolina introduced H.res.951, with 17 co-sponsors :
Resolved, That the House of Representatives—representative brown issues a press release explaining his decision to introduce the bill:
(1) recognizes the importance of the symbols and traditions of Christmas;
(2) strongly disapproves of attempts to ban references to Christmas; and
(3) expresses support for the use of these symbols and traditions by those who celebrate Christmas.
"i am troubled by the growing sentiment that the phrase 'merry christmas' is not appropriate and i am worried that attempts to celebrate a 'politically correct' holiday season may cause the loss of some of the traditions sacred to this widely celebrated holiday.
i recognize that there are many religions that celebrate a variety of holidays this month and in accordance with the first amendment, i believe it is important to preserve the right for everyone to worship as they believe....
we must not forget that the true meaning of christmas is to celebrate of the birth of christ and i will continue to work to protect the sanctity of this great holiday."

lane's innocent!
He said during a news conference Thursday he and his staff take the rules of the NCAA and SEC "extremely serious." He says he doesn't know of any wrongdoing by any of his staff or "of the kids that are being questioned in this."
Tennessee confirmed Wednesday the NCAA is looking into the activities of members of the university's Orange Pride group. (via)
AND he's still talkin' shit:
Kiffin told reporters that he expects this kind of scrutiny because the Vols are recruiting so well.
"I think that any time you're operating at the level we're operating at in recruiting, people are going to come after us," Kiffin said. "So people are going to question what we're doing." (via)
