great news for me and you, but mostly me!

Kirby just told me about a new mexican food place that opened around the corner from our apartment. Cerveceria Havemeyer by the same owners as La Superior and Cantina Royal will be the new Taco Chulo backup spot. Twerk around the corner and drink a margarita!

tales from the south : nashville!

so....YESterday, i went up to nashville to meet some more friends for happy hour / mexi-dinner!

clockwise from me : christina, jeff, julie, beeun, and melissa (joel's sis, jicydak).

it was such a delight to see everyone. beeun and i had our usual las palmas grande beer race, and he beat me, but only because he was in a big nerdy hurry to go see harry potter. and melissa drank an entire pitcher of margaritas all by herself.

after beeun got out of his dumb movie, he, katie, and i went to a neighborhood bar, fooBAR.

they had this game, which they called shuffleboard. it's like that old people game, but played on a table with your hands. it was really fun, even though i never won. not even once.

this happened. i'm not sure...what that was...

we stopped for a delicious fourth meal on the way home. i got this sweet arm-band in my kid's meal, and i gave it to beeun for being so hospitable, and also because it reminded me of how he dressed back in college.
