RIP diesel!

The operation began at 4:25 a.m. local time, when police laid siege to the apartment about a mile away from Stade de France, one of the sites of Friday's terror attack. The six terror suspects returned fire, lightly wounding five police officers and killing Diesel, a 7-year-old Belgian Malinois police dog. (via)

La Maison Mantin

imagine this eccentric lifelong bachelor with an inherited fortune living in central france obsessed with his own mortality. no im not talking about thomas wilhelm, good guess though. Louis Mantin died in 1905, and as stipulated by his will, 100 years later his home is going to be reopened in the exact condition in which it was left. field trip time! via.

getting ready for friday

kylie and i had a brief conversation today about the importance of the USA v Slovenia game on friday, so i decided to go ahead and pick my American futbol favorite. i just wanted to make sure i start putting out the vibe early.

you already know my french favorite, my former french favorite, kylie's favorite, and my overall futbol favorite. now im proud to annouce, BENNY FEILHABER, my aMeRiCaN fUtBoL FaVoRiTe. Benny is a jewish capricorn, who was born in Brazil (you know what that means) and moved to Scarsdale when he was 6. He also loves Jordin Sparks (evidence below). i feel like that is all i really need to say by way of explanation. click here for the interview magazine profile. now you pick your favorite.

worldcupdate!

toooooot tooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooOOOOOOoooot!!

the second game (uruguay vs. france) just ended in a tie. this time, it was 0-0. nobody scored at all. now after 2 games, everyone in group A has one point. so we're exactly where we started.

what a sport.

france v. uruguay, 0-0

unfortunately, my favorite french player thierry henry has been deemed too old and slow to be a starter, so i had to pick a newer and younger french player to be my favorite frog. after much consideration i have chosen yoann gourcuff. you wonder why?

anyway. much like the first match, this one ended in a boring tie.
