a spade is a spade

in an interview with time magazine, anita dunn, white house communications director, said this about fox news channel, "it's opinion journalism masquerading as news..." time reports that michael clemente, head of news at FNC, responded with the sentiment that "white house criticism unfairly conflates the network's reporters and its pundits, like gelnn beck whom he likens to "the op-ed page of a newspaper."

that's a fallacious comparison give that newspapers don't headline their op-ed columnists in the way that fox news (and all cable news channels) gives top billing to their commentators. millions of people don't tune in to watch the short news briefs between FNC's programming; they tune in to watch those shit-eating-grin wearing commentators.
