should i call the police?

i saw this story on the local news, then read about it again here on a blog...

two guys attempted to burn the rainbow flag in front of a LGBT community center in Memphis two nights ago. The cops showed up and they got into a fight with them. One of the criminals was arrested, the other escaped.

not reported in the article is the following information:
i was at a wine party two nights ago in the same neighborhood, playing wii and listening to kylie minogue with some friends when a young guy came up to the door, clearly out of breath, and said that the cops were chasing him and he needed to know how to find celtic crossing, a local bar. we gave him directions and watched him run through backyards and hop fences in the direction we had pointed. then the helicopter search lights started flashing.

hmmmm.

re: fraudulent lyrics

miley,

i hate you. in general. but i really enjoyed your latest song 'party in the usa'. and i won't lie, you gained just an iota of respect from me when you mentioned how much you like jay-z songs. however, it has come to my attention that you are a hateful lying bitch.

"I picked that song 'cause I needed something to go with my clothing line, I didn’t write it," she tells some creepy guy that interviewed her backstage before a concert. "I've never even heard a Jay-Z song."
-miley cyrus

all has been undone.

hate forever,
kylie

yessssss.

It’s not uncommon for teenagers to flock to the mall at the end of a school day. But something went awry on Tuesday, when thousands of high school students descended on the Atlantic Center Mall in Brooklyn and a stabbing and shootings followed.

In this case, the police pinned the commotion on — of all things — a 40-cent chicken wing promotion at a restaurant in Fort Greene.

The event, at Buffalo Wild Wings inside the mall at 139 Flatbush Avenue, was promoted to students at high schools throughout Brooklyn. (via)

thx bun bun!

a little jelly.

Union Station in Washington, DC, is showing off a shiny new Bike Transit Center that offers secure bike parking for 150 cycles, plus a changing room, lockers, bike rentals, and a repair shop for commuters. Access to the center costs $1 per day or a yearly membership fee of $100, which includes round-the-clock entry. The facility will be the first of its kind on the East Coast, part of an effort to encourage eco-friendly commuting with the promise of added security for bicycles. Eighty-percent of the funding for the $4-million bike center came from the US Department of Transportation, with additional funds from the DDOT. (via)

so what if it looks a bit like john's vagina... thx kt!
