Tom Ford
in the newest issue of the Advocate, Tom Ford discusses Yves St. Laurent (a femmy bitch), his feature film directorial debut A Single Man (nothing to do with Mad Men), blow jobs (in the back of cabs), and gay marriage (stupid semantics).
this guy is cool
this is BiBi
BiBi was minding her own business walking along Brighton Pier when a gale-force wind swept her into the ocean. Her dramatic rescue is chronicled in this picture gallery. Her rescuer happened to be on the pier that day to scatter the ashes of his beloved grandma
You're going to want to check it out.
Jake Gyllenhaal, ostriches
"There is a not a CGI ostrich in this movie. They are all real ostriches. Highly paid. We were all briefed for weeks before; that they're these massive destructive creatures who can tear your heart out with their claw. I swear to god, I was shaking in my boots. I walked up and the stuntman was in the ring with them and finally I was like 'When am I going be in a f**king cage with ostriches again in my life? I've got to get in there!' And so I got in there and they were the sweetest things. But every day is like that. You get in there and you do it and there's an experience I'll never be able to have again. Well, hopefully the ostriches will come back again either in re-shoots or hopefully in the second one. But that sort of sums it up." - JG ;)

now that's a desk!
The musician and owner of the biological installation company Anchor Aquarium Service grew up making terrariums for his eight-legged pets. “My friend and I became very competitive about who would have the lushest, coolest spider tank, and it just grew from there,” he says. He then minored in biology, worked at the National Zoo in Tennessee, and now regularly designs custom terrariums and aquariums, and even a combination of the two called a paludarium for private clients, schools and artists. Together with artist Andrea Blum, for instance, he built terrariums into her furniture. (Answering phones all day wouldn’t be so bad at this receptionist’s desk!) Soon, he’s planning on teaching others his terrarium tips via classes. (via)
