masked ball descends into orgy

"the owner of a 17th century manor house called the police after an upper-class masked ball turned into an orgy."

oopsies. a dutch company named little sins arranged a mass orgy party, at halswell house in somerset unbeknownst to the owner. the coordinator of the party stated it would have "a dating aspect to it." oyr. but in fairness to little sins, their name is little sins, and the event was named "eyes wide sin," so it seems someone neglected to ask an obvious question. that question being, "are you people going to sexing all over my house?"

the guests, who were wearing long black cloaks and masks, were entirely civil for three hours until the stroke of midnight, when one of the event organizers said this: "the moment has come. the spell has begun" (ctm). the group then stripped down to leather and corsets...and apparently suspenders, and starting kissing and sexing. two nineteen year old waitresses were sent home, and the rest of the staff was given permish to leave if they wanted.

the party ended with the guests retiring to their rooms at 3 am, no doubt, to wake up the next day feeling shame and regret. at one point, the home owner, mr. bond, called the police who informed him that sex between consenting adults in a private home was not illegal. mr. bond now says he's taking the night in good humor.

i think this might be my favorite quote from the article, because it paints quite a picture:

"to say i was shocked was an understatement. i was totally lost for words it was as if a switch had been flicked on...the first thing we saw was one couple at it on a window sill. when the haze from the dry ice in the disco room cleared we realised it was going on everywhere."
