I found an ad for this exhibit when perusing the NYT. Looks fun.

I'm not so tech savvy and the Times does wonderful play-graphic-things that I do not know how to put in the blog. That being said, there is a story about an office rehab in Jersey (is this your building Kylie?) with a great slider rendering photo thingy. And the fancied up building has potential. Check it out here.

Who thought this was a good idea?

Just down the way from Kylie's apartment, you can go get your ass skin burned off. Designers of the recently opened B-Bridge Park threw in some scalding hot molten metal bubbles for children to play on. They have since posted some laminated flyers on a fence nearby warning of the dangers. They say that once the tree canopy fills in, they expect the problem to be alleviated, so only 10-15 years until you can play King of the Bubble on a sunny day!

UPDATE - The bubbles are getting play forts (cheap tents) to protect them from the sun (lawsuits).

I blame Australia

Last time I was locked in the hospital, I had to watch Titans games online, and to do so I streamed from an Australian Channel. They had a product that I found amusing, disgusting, and delicious looking at the same time. Well, don't fret my fellow Americans. We are just over 4 days away from that product (or something similar to it) being available on this side of the world. Introducing the KFC Double Down.

The gambling reference is a little 2005, but I'll still roll the dice on that heart attack.

more spring springing

a photo collection of some wonderful signs of spring from all over the world, including this cute one of some bear-babies playing in a PURBLIC BEAR PARK in switzerland!

why doesn't nyc have one of these?

thx susanne!

it's like...

...you have to wear fur for religious ceremonies, but you can't wear fur, because it's against your religion.

International animal-rights activists are campaigning for Israel to become the first country in the world to ban the sale of fur.

A bill to make Israel fur-free is being debated in the Knesset, pitting animal-rights campaigners against the lobbyists for the global fur industry and the ultra-Orthodox Jewish community, which says the fur ban is an affront to its religious identity.
