two things:
1) Questlove of the Roots tweeted this pic of the NBC cafeteria tribute to black history month. um, NBC, that's racist.
2) the former mayor of Memphis, W.W. Herenton, has declared that he intends to challeng Rep. Steve Cohen for his seat in congress in the fall. He announced today that he thinks that Tennessee's 9th district was drawn specifically to produce a black congressman, and implied that he deserves to be elected because he is black, and Tennessee currently doesn't have any black representative in Congress. um, Mr. Herenton, that's racist.

Agreed. Sloan-Kettering had fried chicken on MLK day and I ate it all up. If it's racist, then we should hate minorities all the time.
