Mo'Nique is wearing a flower in her hair as a tribute to the first black woman to win an Oscar, Hattie McDaniel. Mo'Nique's production company is making a film about McDaniel, which she may star in. (via)

Last April, I made a spreadsheet of every character ever played by Hattie McDaniel, her sister Etta, and her brother Sam. I don't really know what to do with it.
