have you heard the news? american apparel may go out of business within the next 12 months. it seems CEO dov charney has been chasing LA hipster tail a little too much, instead of keeping an eye on the books.
personally, i feel conflicted about this. american apparel is american made, they support political causes i appreciate and i like some of their clothes. however, i can't help but feel that they had it coming, opening stores on ever corner and selling more and more gratuitous stuff (like glasses with fake lenses). should have kept it small and simple dov...

they should downsize their real estate by 50% and focus on online sales.
