fleetwood mac appreciation day

after that whole fleetwood mac episode, i'm listening to their discography at work today. currently, i'm on mirage (featuring amazing songs like "that's alright", "gypsy", and "hold me"), and the way lindsey buckingham sings on this album is reminding me of something. i finally put my finger on it.

the guy from architecture in helsinki sounds just like mirage-lindsey on their new album, moment bends. take a listen:

fleetwood mac - empire state

architecture in helsinki - escapee

so i got to googlin', and i found this!
Fleetwood Mac's Lindsey Buckingham has cut a towering presence over Architecture In Helsinki these past two years.
A three-metre-squared poster of the guitarist took over the wall of the band's Melbourne studio as they created their forthcoming album, Moment Bends.
Architecture In Helsinki even nicknamed the recording space "Buckingham Palace" in reference to their musical idol staring down.
He proved a deliberate influence, according to the band's keyboard player and singer Kellie Sutherland.
"We all love Fleetwood Mac because of the nostalgia they create and the craftsmanship of their songs, everything from their vocal harmonies to their amazing story," Sutherland told AAP.
"We're especially fond of Lindsey Buckingham and we wanted him around overseeing everything, to be constantly reminded of the romanticism wrapped up in his band." (via)
it worked! moment bends is a great album! just like mirage!
