the national trust for historic preservation has released its list of the most endangered places for 2009.
1) Unity Temple, Frank Lloyd Wright, Oak Park, IL
2) Ames Shovel Shop, Easton Mass
3) Enola Gay Hangar, Utah
4) Memorial Bridge, btw NH and Maine
5) The Human Services Center, Yanton SD
6) Cast iron architecture (in general), Galveston TX
7) Miami Marine Stadium, Virginia Key, FL
8) Century Plaza Hotel, Los Angeles
9) Lanai City, Hawaii (no relation to Golden Girls)
10) Mt. Taylor, New Mexico
11) Dorchester Academy, Georgia
the problem with this list is that it is boring, and makes me not want to do anything to help protect these "places." sorry national trust.
