i watched netflix today, Basquiat. Julian Schnabel made this biopic about the New York graffiti artist turned overnight sensation Jean-Michel Basquiat, who died of a drug overdose in 1988. The cast in this movie is stacked: David Bowie, Dennis Hopper, Parker Posey, Jeffrey Wright, Benicio del Toro, Gary Oldman, Claire Forlani, Courtney Love, Willem Dafoe, Christopher Walken, Michael Wincott. 11 biscuits just for getting all those people in one movie. also it was pretty good. made all the more timely by the recent passing of Dash Snow, graffiti artist turned overnight sensation who died of a drug overdose. :(
