i watched several movies last night. Marley & Me about a dog less cute that Kismet, Prince Caspian that i was probably about 10 years too old to enjoy, and Enchanted, a captivating little film starring Amy Adams, Patrick Dempsey, James Marsden, and Susan Sarandon. All i knew about the film were the songs that were nominated / performed for the 2008 Oscars. The movie starts in animation, with a sleeping beauty-snow white hybrid princess waiting for her prince charming. she is banished to live action new york after being pushed in a wishing well by evil susan sarandon old hag. the new york scenes are really high energy and very cute and its fun to see the city and its denizens used as a backdrop for what is essentially a fairy tale. Amy Adams is charming without being cloying, and Susan Sarandon is a scene stealer as the wicked step mother. James Marsden also looks like he is having a blast, but Dempsey phones it in. watch this movie if youre not too cool to enjoy it.
