meteor shower tonight
the perseid meteor shower is going down tonight. i guess it lasts for a while, and i read somewhere else that it will peak on the 12th. but i'm not going to risk missing it. gawker has a wonderful guide.
the internet says it will start after dark and the best time to watch is between midnight and 5am. like we don't have lives, meteors!
anyway, good luck.
oh and also, there's some kinda planet trifecta going on right now. this helpful diagram should explain everything.

About an hour after sunset, anyone with a clear and open view of the west-northwest horizon should be able to spot the triangle of three planets shining low in the west. (via)

bad move starz
you had a gem on your hands in party down. now youve gone and cancelled it. there were plenty of ways i could imagine a third season, even with the loss of adam scott and jane lynch and many many others to bigger projects. it is so rare to find a show that literally makes you laugh out loud, and party down did that for me. rip.
