Southern Hospitality is Dead
I mean, the Justin Timberlake owned terrible restaurant on the Upper East Side has closed. There are people on facebook that just can't believe it, but that place was the definition of over priced and mediocre. If you just can't stand it, there is another one in Hell's Kitchen and one in Denver. via

Have you eaten at Aldo's in Memphis?
Yella Bear's mom is a working girl who greets gentlemen there in the evenings. They have BBQ pizza like most places, but get this... they put coleslaw on top!

martha, seriously... call me
new york magazine gives us Martha Stewart's week-long food diary, and low and behold... she goes to MEMPHIS to eat BBQ at CORKY'S!!!! Of course she loves it.When traveling, I always make an effort to go to the best local spots. I asked some of the sales associates where I could get the best Memphis–style barbecue, and they all pointed me to the famous Corky’s BBQ, a Memphis staple. We had the most delicious Tennessee BBQ, the meat just fell off the ribs; warm hushpuppies; creamy, golden mac 'n’ cheese; fresh coleslaw to complement the spice of the ribs, and to wash it all down, a large glass of unsweetened iced tea with a slice of lemon.

BRB outside: Los Angeles
I went to Los Angeles last weekend and it was AWESOME. check it out.
We went to a farmers market and had DELICIOUS food. On the right, Peruvian chicken and shrimp over rice with a watermelon juice along side. On the left, Nana's Sopes, Chicken and Chorizo with a strawberry lemonade (too sweet!)
This is Frank and his dog Roosevelt. Rosie is an incredibly sweet dog. She knows:
Sit, shake, high five, lay down, roll over, AND stay
We went to a Sunday Dodger's game. They played the Astros. Matty Kemp nailed a homer as Los Doyers put it on the team from Texas.
Saturday Night we had a 1a.m. BBQ. it was delicioso.

emily and dunny celebrate the entrance on riverside drive with a peek a boo shot of downtown memphis and the festival grounds in the background

we decided to take a walk around and found a lovely couple to snap a quick group shot. mississippi river in the background. the black skinny jeans were a big miscalculation. hot day + rednecks + booze.

ice carver working on the ice luge
