i know i hyperbolize a lot here...
...but i want you to think long and hard before watching this without 4-5 tissues in your hand.
Forty male beagles raised inside a lab in Spain arrived in Los Angeles last week where they will be put up for adoption after being freed from captivity by the Beagle Freedom Project.
The rescue mission is the largest yet for the group Animal Rescue Media Education (ARME). A total of 72 dogs were rescued in the effort, 32 of them having already been adopted in Europe, according to NBC Los Angeles. (via)thx leigh anne!

i used to be a gemini
and as far as i'm concerned, i will go on being a gemini forever! according to some astronomers, zodiac charts need to be updated to reflect changes in the position of the earth relative to the sun as caused by the gravitational effect of the moon.
the zodiac hasn't been changed in 3,000 years, but maybe it should be, according to this.
im supposed to be a taurus now. oh yeah right. new chart here.
other people say, "sheesh this is old news."

white house solar panels
jimmy carter installed some in 1979.
ronald reagan took them down in 1986.
george bush installed some panels in 2003 but didnt tell anyone (embarrassed?)
barack obama just put some new ones up.
