happy bearly retirement to ME!

if you don't know, i got married and now my husband is moving* me to ken-sucky. today is my third to last day of work and i plan on having as much fun as this bear during my temporary retirement.

*i use the term moving loosely, since i'm actually the one packing up our entire house. yip.

morning y'all! jic you haven't heard already, joel's moving back to memphis for a while. he's got a u-haul all packed, and i'm going to go on a car ride to tennessee with him!!

i know what you're thinking. kylie, what about ME?! well, i'd like to invite you to follow us in real-time as we twitter from the road. joel's a professional, but i have no idea how to do it, so i'll be spending the northern part of new jersey learning. it will be tough with one hand busy holding my nose. but i'm determined.

dear god

ugh. i put my AC up on craigslist and got about a million responses. i talked to the first guy who responded and he said he would pick it up tomorrow (which is perfect for me because i might be sleeping here tonight).

i tried to be courteous by responding to all the emails letting them know that i already made arrangements to sell the AC, and some people just won't take a hint. Lorraine really needs it for her grandma. I don't need this pressure, I have movers coming between 1pm and 5pm. yikes.

Were you under the impression that only poor people are being evicted, because they can't pay their meager rents on their even more meager salaries/ bottle collection earnings? Not the case. In fact, lots of people who got laid off from good jobs are getting evicted, too. It's a lot easier to not be able to pay your rent when it's high! (gawker)

Perfectly understandable. I just moved, and do you know that movers want literally hundreds of dollars to move your stuff down one flight of stairs, and later, up another flight of stairs? I mean, everybody in New York is moving, because apartment prices are going down about a hundred bucks a month per month. But elsewhere, yea: just huddle up where you are. Moving expends energy, which requires calories to replace it, which ups your grocery bill. Stay still. (gawker)
