All Franklin American Mortgage Music City Bowl tickets to the general public were sold by Wednesday, three days after it was announced Tennessee would play North Carolina at 5:30 p.m. on Dec. 30.
Three of the 12 Music City Bowls have been sellouts, including the first season, which was at Vanderbilt Stadium (41,600 capacity) between Alabama and Virginia Tech in 1998.
Two previous bowl games at LP Field (69,143 capacity) have sold out — 2006 (Kentucky-Clemson) and 2007 (Kentucky-Florida State). (via)
