well, i thought we were done, but here's another reason to wear purple on sunday.

"He's a great recruiter and great offensive mind."

Those are some striking comments from one coach about another, but when you consider they come from a coach who has led his team to the Super Bowl, that makes them even more powerful.

Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh spoke about new Tennessee head coach Butch Jones at Super Bowl Media Day at the Superdome earlier this week.

An Ohio native, Harbaugh has gotten to know Jones over the years through coaching clinics. He became more familiar with him when Jones coached in Harbaugh's home state, while leading Cincinnati to two conference titles in his three years with the Bearcats.

Jones also made a major impression on a two-time Pro Bowler who will be playing in the Super Bowl. Joe Staley was a 49ers' first-round draft pick out of Central Michigan in 2007. He got to know Jones who took the reigns at CMU that same year, after Staley had finished his playing career under Brian Kelly.

"Butch is an awesome person," said Staley. "I talked to him a lot when he was at Central (Michigan). He's a super great guy, very fiery, very intelligent football coach. I know he's going to do great at Tennessee. I'm real happy to see him have the success that he's had." (via)

my two cents? with its blatant similarity, it's clearly a nod to a respected influence, and this bitch should be thanking beyonce for the compliment.

Jay-Z reacted to MC Hammer's recent diss record "Better Run Run" when he stopped by DJ Semtex's show yesterday. The BK emcee was surprised by Hammer's reaction and stated that Hammer might be a little embarrassed once he reads what he wrote about him in his upcoming book Decoded.

It was Jay's bars from Kanye's G.O.O.D. Friday release "So Appalled " that upset Hammer, "And Hammer went broke so you know I'm more focused / I lost 30 mil so I spent another 30 / 'Cause unlike Hammer 30 million can't hurt me." (via)

general stanley mcchrystal is going to the white house today to talk to president obama. have you heard about this dummy? he's the one in charge of our whole afghanistan war, and the architect of obama's new policy over there. so, some rolling stone reporter follows him around afghanistan for a while, and he just shoots off at the mouth the entire time, saying mean things about president barack obama and everyone else he can think of. so it all gets printed and now everyone knows. he did give hillary a nice compliment. so that's something.

well, now it's time to pay the fiddler kitty on the hot tin rooftop. he's prepared a letter of resignation, jic he needs it.

anyway, time to watch the soccer vols.
