relax, relax! luckily it wasn't raining all gd weekend, so i only watched 2 movies. let's jump in.
upon a g.animalz request, i netflixed this swedish vampire movie, let the right one in. it was one of the creepiest movies i've ever seen, and also one of the most beautifully shot. it's based on a swedish book of the same title, and set in a suburban area of stockholm. it's really gorgeous and super-scary and i give it 11 biscuits 4 sure!!!
we also went outside to see a movie called the hurt locker. it's about a team of 3 IED diffusers in iraq. normally, i would shy away from a movie like this, because the iraq war is soooo 2007, but this one came highly recommended, and it was excellent. it's pretty intense, and you're going to want to go to the bathroom before it starts, but very entertaining as well. AND it's directed by a lady! if you can believe that. 11 biscuits!!
did anyone else see any good movies?

all your questions answered: mammatus clouds
Remember those freaky-deaky clouds in NYC friday night? Sure you do. They were total freak shows! Turns out, they're called mammatus clouds. YOU'RE WELCOME.
"Mammatus may appear as smooth, ragged or lumpy lobes and may be opaque or semitransparent. Because mammatus occur as a grouping of lobes...A lobe can last an average of 10 minutes, but a whole cluster of mamma can range from 15 minutes to a few hours. They usually are composed of ice, but also can be a mixture of ice and liquid water or be composed of almost entirely liquid water."
also, the danger:
"In the United States, sky gazers may be most familiar with the very distinct and more common cumulonimbus mammatus. When occurring in cumulonimbus, mammatus are often indicative of a particularly strong storm or maybe even a tornadic storm...Due to the intensely sheared environment in which mammatus form, aviators are strongly cautioned to avoid cumulonimbus with mammatus." -- just like Canadian Geesers!
"neglected giants in watercolour paint"
Sometimes, you just have to give up. You just can't go on any longer. As we overheard in the Sunshine theater yesterday, "it's not that I couldn't do it anymore; it's that I couldn't keep it up!" So it goes with the elephants of Thailand. The poor bastards. See, they're no longer popular after some pandas got on the scene. View their desperate cry for attentionz below:
