what is kismet doing?

answer: me and kizzy were wrastlin' on the ground and he gave me a bite right on the thumb nail. i screamed and decided to retaliate by biting him on the leg which i proceeded to do. come to find out that mom had just given him his tick medicine and that citrus taste was the posion entering my body. no ticks for me either i guess. if i survive.

cozies for b-heights

this is cute. knitted cozies were installed on 69 parking meters on brooklyn heights' montague street (aka constable street). they'll be up for about a month.

Auto-Tune The News

cbs should consider this to make katie couric less robotic
"auto-tune the news, everything sounds better auto-tuned"

what's that you say?

remember that super bowl a couple years ago? back when the halftime show was produced by mtv and justin timberlake ripped off janet jackson's bra cup and exposed her nipple jewelry?

remember that CBS got fined with $550,000, and every single live event since has been screened and "decency" became de rigueur on tv and everything became a little more boring and george w. bush was elected to a second term? well, the US Court of Appeals made the FCC take it back because they decided it wasnt that big of a deal in the first place.

lets pool our change...

... if we combine my unemployment earnings with yours (and so on and so forth), we could have one good week of fun at the real grey gardens house. maybe drew barrymore could come play with us.

so wrong

according to this story, brooke shields is pissed off because two national enquirer reporters interviewed her mom trying to get some secrets for an article. the real kicker here is that brooke's mother has dementia and lives in an assisted living center in new jersey. the "reporters" pretended to be friends of the old woman and police found them in a restaurant next door to the new jersey nursing home.

sue the hell out of em brooke. this totally crosses a line.

CLARE, MI—Despite losing the last of her mental faculties in 2004, Mary Parise, 89, avoided being committed to an elder-care facility until just last week, when her children discovered her down-home turns of phrase were in fact the senseless ramblings of a senile woman. "We would have taken her to a specialist sooner, but you know how Mom's always saying, 'I reckon I'll stay where I am as long as the good Lord's willing and the rooster don't break bread with a jackass,'" daughter Karen Parise said. "For years she's been calling my son 'Buster Brown' and telling him he's so bowlegged he couldn't hem a hog up in a ditch. I assumed it was a term of endearment, but now I don't think she actually recognizes any of us." Parise's children told reporters they also believe their grandmother's diet of uncooked beans and cornstarch is not in fact "a Great Depression thing." (the onion)
