smoke weed, talk shit like lane kiffin!
looks like the SEC is cracking down on coaches flappin' their traps after games:
"On rare occasions over the last seven years there were several private reprimands and that took care of the matter," said Slive, in his eighth year as the SEC's leader. "On occasion there were public reprimands and that took care of it. It became clear to me after last week that I was no longer interested in reprimands and the conference athletic directors and university presidents unanimously agreed.
"For the foreseeable future there will be no reprimands," Slive added. "We will go right to suspensions and fines." (via)
careful, lane!
in other news, did you know that tennessee's defense hasn't allowed and offensive touchdown since the auburn game? really great work, monte kiffin. we're really glad to have you. (via)

f*** YOU DOLPHIN!
It's hard when something you like ends up on South Park. You feel like, 'Hey, what the f, does this mean I can't like this any more? Do I have to stop caring and never speak of this again?' Probably.
Keekers and I were horrified to see that Whale Wars, the show we've spent countless hours watching, discussing, recommending to friends and family, parodied in last night's episode 'Whale Whores.' It's not that we were offended, far from it. It's just that we found ourselves agreeing with most every point they were making. And the worst part, it was pretty funny.
You can watch the full episode here.
And, if you're prob not going to watch it at work, you can read about it here. Warning, spoiler alert.

where's my retarded baby?
levi on sarah palin:
She'd come home from work looking for her son Trig, he said, and she'd ask, "Where's my retarded baby?" She would apparently use the term regularly to refer to the child, who has Down syndrome. "She'd say it kind of regularly. I think she was joking, but that doesn't make it right." (via)

During ESPN's broadcast of the Minnesota-Ohio State game Saturday, a graphic was shown listing the top five drivers in NASCAR's points race. Fellow analyst Chris Spielman asked where was Montoya, who is Colombian.
Griese replied he was "out having a taco." (via)

bear show!
"For 43 years, Professor Lynn Rogers has studied wild bears, walking and playing with them, gaining amazing insights into their behaviour.
His studies reveal the bears as peaceful, playful creatures, which even hum when they are content.
The new understanding of wild black bear (Ursus americanus) behaviour unveiled by Prof Roger's research is depicted by the BBC natural history programme Natural World: "Bearwalker of the Northwoods"." (via)

destino, disney, dali
Disney and Dali - Destino from Jayme Johnson on Vimeo.
destino is a short film by disney with a unique heritage. it began in 1946 as an incomplete collaboration between Salvador Dali, and Walt Disney. 18 seconds of the short was all that was finished until the project was taken up in 1999 by Walt Disney's nephew Roy. From storyboards and remaining original sketches, the short film was filled out to the seven minutes you see here. Enjoyable. (via)

Memphis Tigers vs. Eastern Carolina Pirates
i got a ticket to sit with some family at tuesday nights tigers game that was to be televised on ESPN. it was an overcast night, but the rain fortunately stopped as soon as we pulled into the parking lot. 2pz cousin will hudgens is the starting quarterback for memphis, and i wish i could report that they won, but it just didnt happen.
moody night scene of liberty bowl memorial stadium, former home of the world famous Tennessee Oilers. ya heard? The last professional tenant of the stadium was the Memphis Maniax who did not dominate the XFL
tom the tiger is a cutie. meow! gotta love a live mascot that could kill you. this little guy is Tom III, and this is his first season after memphis mourned the loss of Tom II last year.
the pride of the university of memphis. ;( they were wonderful and tried their best.
its like an escher drawing under there. precast concrete jungle.
when there are about 6,000 people in the stadium, pouncer has the chance to introduce himself to everyone individually. srsly. these jokers are my cousins.
